Cobb County, GA (December 12, 2018) – A red alert was issued in Cobb County early this morning around 6:00 a.m. for a major car accident that led to serious injuries.

Police say that multiple different vehicles were involved in the accident, though they are still trying to determine what caused the accident to occur. Many helicopters flew overhead for a closer look at the scene, which showed a variety of police investigating, emergency vehicles, and more.

The accident took place on Interstate 75 in the southbound lanes. All lanes of the road were blocked around the exit 263 section. Delays continued in the area for quite some time.

Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident but continue to investigate at this time.
