Cobb County, GA (December 15, 2018) – Police issued a red alert in Cobb County for a multi-vehicle accident that took place on Interstate 75 and caused injuries in multiple individuals.

The accident took place in the southbound lanes at South Marietta Parkway on exit 263. All lanes were blocked due to the accident. Highway 41 was recommended as an alternate.

Multiple emergency responders showed up at the scene of the accident so that they could clear the scene and tend to the multiple parties who received injuries in this accident. EMS was on scene.

Police are still not sure what led up to the accident but visibility might have been a factor, as it happened at night. They continue to investigate the circumstances.
