Colleton County, SC (November 21, 2018) – Rescuers were called to the scene of a serious car accident where a 17-year-old female was trapped inside her vehicle and had to be freed this past week.
The accident happened on Ritter Road, where police say the girl was involved in an accident that caused her vehicle to strike a tree off the side of the roadway. The girl’s vehicle was badly damaged and the driver was trapped in the wreckage between the dash and the seat. She sustained life-threatening and traumatic injuries. Luckily, help was on her side.
It took crew members close to 40 minutes to free her from the wreckage. The victim was immediately freed and taken by rescue ambulance and moved to a medical helicopter. At this time, we do not have any updates about the condition of the female.
Police continue to investigate what caused the accident.
