Columbia, SC (December 7, 2018) – In Columbia, a woman lost her life in a pedestrian accident. Police say that she was formally identified by the Richland County Coroner. 

The woman has been identified as 49-year-old Marie Jacobs. The accident took place on Wednesday night at the Farrow Road intersection.

At the time of the accident, Jacobs was transported by EMS to a local hospital. She later died at the hospital due to blunt force injuries to the upper body.

At this time, the Columbia Police Department continues to investigate this accident.
