Columbus, GA ( October 14, 2018)- The Columbus County Police Department in Georgia is investigating an accident with injuries in the area of Veterans Parkway.
Columbus Police and Fire Emergency services are currently on the scene of an accident that occurred Sunday afternoon. The initial police report indicates the crash happened near the area of Veterans Parkway and Whittlesey Boulevard. Emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident to clear debris from the roadway.
Columbus County EMS Department transported the injured victims to a local Georgia hospital to treat injuries caused by the sudden car accident. Georgia officials are warning drivers to avoid the area if possible due to heavy traffic and delays following the accident. An active investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the collision.
The condition of the injured victims is unknown at this time. No additional details have been released.
