Columbus, GA (November 18, 2018) – In Georgia on Friday, November 16, a helicopter crash took place when a Drug.

Columbus, GA (November 18, 2018) – In Georgia on Friday, November 16, a helicopter crash took place when a Drug Task helicopter went down in the area of Montgomery.

The Metro Narcotics Task Force helicopter was flying to Clanton for routine maintenance when the helicopter suddenly struck a power line that stretched expansively to different counties. The helicopter went down in the water at the time of the crash.

The pilot was not located and is believed to have not survived. He is a Columbus police officer. Diving teams have been investigating the incident and trying to find the victim.

The investigation continues.
