Columbus, GA (December 1, 2018) – A teen is now fighting for his life following a truck accident that took place on Interstate 85 and caused him to sustain life-threatening injuries.
19-year-old Alonzo Heath Jr. is now in the ICU following a serious accident where he was struck by an 18-wheeler in his vehicle and then by another car that wasn’t able to stop in time. At the time, Alonzo had been heading home from taking a friend to work.
Alonzo allegedly received injuries including spinal cord damage, brain injuries, a collapsed lung, and broken bones. At this time, police say that the driver of the 18-wheeler has not been identified.
The family is still searching for the driver responsible. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
