The accident involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle. The two people who died in the accident were identified as 23-year-old Antonious Downey (the driver of the motor vehicle) and 23-year-old Jaquan Harris (the passenger of the vehicle).

The tractor-trailer was making a left turn onto Jackson Avenue and heading west onto Victory Drive when it struck the side of the truck. This caused the vehicle to lodge under the big rig and subsequently, the two young men lost their lives as a result.
