Conrad Hill, NC (November 3, 2018) – Five students received injuries in a two-vehicle bus crash that took place on.

Conrad Hill, NC (November 3, 2018) – Five students received injuries in a two-vehicle bus crash that took place on Friday morning, November 2 in the area of Decker Road and Tonya Drive.

The bus was from the Central Davidson High and Middle schools. The crash happened around 7:25 a.m. The bus driver was identified as 57-year-old Carlon Baldwin, who was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. At that time, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Deanne Cato, was traveling with her two-year-old daughter.

Baldwin did not see the Hyundai and attempted to cross the street. Cato attempted to slow down but it was not enough to avoid the collision. Baldwin received a citation for failure to yield.

At the time of the accident, 18 students were on the school bus. Three middle school students and two high school students were injured in the accident. They were taken to various hospitals for treatment.

Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
