Dade County, GA (November 21, 2018) – On Interstate 59, three passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved in a fatal accident that killed one and injured two others.

Police arrested the driver of the tractor-trailer, who was identified as 35-year-old Stephen Farmer of Alabama. He was charged with homicide by vehicle and failure to yield.

The information showed that the tractor-trailer driver was attempting to merge when a passenger vehicle struck the rear of the trailer, instantly killing the driver inside. Two other vehicles crashed as a result because they were unable to stop in time.

Interstate 59 South was closed down for quite some time while police investigated the accident. The Georgia Highway Patrol is currently working on their investigation of the accident.
