Darlington County, SC (November 15, 2018) – A woman was just killed in a two-vehicle accident in the Hartsville area. The woman has been identified as 56-year-old Cheryl Meggs.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. at the intersection of New Market Road and SC 151. They found that Meggs died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of a Honda attempted making a left on the highway from New Market Road when they turned into the path of a northbound SUV. The SUV struck the Honda, which killed the driver of the second vehicle.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. No charges are expected in this case.

As of now, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
