Davidson County, NC (November 15, 2018) – In Davidson County, a two-vehicle accident that was deemed a head-on collision that led to one fatality and one person seriously injured. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the accident yesterday around 2:39 p.m. near Hampton Road.

Troopers discovered that a Honda and a Saturn had collided head-on in the road when one swerved to the middle of the road. Witnesses say that both drivers were female and that a child was in one of the cars. One driver was killed at the scene and the other was pinned inside the vehicle and received serious injuries. The child involved was not harmed.

As of last evening, police were not able to confirm what caused the accident. At this time, police continue to thoroughly investigate.
