Davidson County, NC – Driver Dies at Scene of Fatal Car Accident

Davidson County, NC (November 17, 2018) – The Highway Patrol said that a woman lost her life at the scene.

Davidson County, NC (November 17, 2018) – The Highway Patrol said that a woman lost her life at the scene of a fatal car accident in Davidson County this week. She has since been identified by police.

Police say that 39-year-old Melissa Hicks died at the scene of an accident in her 1997 Saturn. The other driver was taken to the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with injuries.

The crash took place on Hampton Road and James Road around 2:39 p.m. when a 1996 Honda went left of center on the road and struck Hicks’ vehicle head-on.

The driver of the Honda’s name has not been released and we do not know their condition at this time. The driver of the Honda may or may not be facing charges.
