Decatur, GA (October 5, 2018) – A five-year-old boy from Decatur was killed in a serious accident when he was.

The accident took place last week when the boy and his father, Sam, were a block away from home. Their Toyota Corolla was struck when it was sitting at a red light on South Chandler Street. Witnesses said that the crash was serious and the boy was badly injured. Police and many other people attempted CPR when they realized he was unresponsive.

The boy died at the hospital two days after the accident.

The driver who struck the vehicle continued into the intersection and crashed into another vehicle. Police believe that the initial driver, 52-year-old Michelle Wierson, was impaired at the time. She is now facing a variety of charges due to the accident.
