DeKalb County, GA (October 3, 2018) – A serious on-campus stabbing caused one student to be injured while another was quickly.

The accident took place this morning, October 3 at Stephenson Middle School in Stone Mountain. The district released a statement that stated that an altercation took place between two students. One of the students was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The mother of the 13-year-old girl that stabbed the student has autism, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder. She does not yet know what circumstances led to the accident, but we do know that scissors were used to stab the student.

At this time, the incident is still under investigation.
