Dekalb County, GA (August 14, 2018) – A 7-year-old boy was struck by a car while crossing a busy street on Tuesday afternoon.

Dekalb County, GA (August 14, 2018) – A 7-year-old boy was struck by a car while crossing a busy street on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m.

The incident took place around North Decatur Road and Rockbridge Road. The child was wearing a backpack and attempting to cross four lanes of traffic when he was struck by a car. The boy was alone at the time. Police confirm the child has died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. He was a student at Dunaire Elementary.
