Dekalb County, GA (October 17, 2018) – An Interstate 20 pile-up crash led to one fatality and injuries to others. The accident took place on Thursday, October 11 in the midst of Hurricane Michael.
Police say that the accident initially took place around 2:30 in the morning and involved eight different vehicles. They say that the accident was related to the effects of Hurricane Michael but have not confirmed how. Police say that six or seven people had to be transported to the hospital for treatment and only one person lost their life.
The crash was so severe that it closed down the interstate for 6 hours, so police had to reroute those driving through the area until 9 a.m.
At this time, police are still working on their investigation.
