DeKalb County, GA (December 2, 2018) – This morning, December 2, police were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident that was prompted following a hit-and-run. The accident happened on Interstate 20.
Police say that several people were injured in the accident that took place near Panola Road. A couple of people were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be rescued by responding firefighters. The crash closed down all lanes of the roadway. A vehicle had been traveling east on the Interstate when it was struck by another car, which then struck a third vehicle.
The first vehicle that caused the accident fled the scene immediately. Police are still searching for the driver who is responsible. Police are still investigating the accident at this time.
