DeKalb County, GA (December 7, 2018) – Only hours ago today, December 7, a red alert was issued in regards to a serious car accident that led to injuries, according to police.

Police and emergency responders, including firetrucks and an ambulance, were at the scene of the accident, which took place in the eastbound lanes of Highway 78. However, all lanes were closed down temporarily until police were able to clear the scene, which caused delays in the area.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the accident, one of which was badly damaged and missing tires. Debris was left all over the roadway and one driver might have been entrapped. Another vehicle, am SUV, slammed into the guardrail.

At this time, police are not entirely sure of what led to the accident, but they continue to investigate at this time.
