Dodge County, GA (December 9, 2018) – The Georgia State Patrol were called to the scene of an accident this week at a school zone accident that happened on Highway 341. A total of twelve people received a wide range of injuries.
The accident was first reported around 4:30 p.m. near the South Dodge Elementary School in Eastman. Police say that a commercial motor vehicle drove into traffic that had been stopped in the school zone and struck several vehicles along the way.
The wreck caused a chain-reaction that made several vehicles crash into one another 10 passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved.
Twelve people were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. Every person who was injured is expected to recover from their injuries.
At this time, police continue to collect evidence and investigate the accident.
