Durham, NC (December 4, 2018) – In Durham, one person passed away following a serious hit-and-run accident. The death was not immediate but happened after the victim was in critical condition for several weeks at the hospital.
The gentleman has been identified as Andre Houze, who has tragically passed away after a hit-and-run driver struck him in Durham around 9:10 p.m. on East Cornwallis Road. Police say that Houze was 61 years old.
At this time, police have not been able to identify the vehicle that struck Houze. They continue their search for witnesses who might have seen what happened. The Durham Police Department continues to investigate the accident at this time.
