The accident took place this past week and the woman was found lying in the road around 6:30 in the morning. She was taken to the hospital with a variety of serious head injuries.

Police say that the driver continued onward after they struck the woman. At this time, there is no given description of the vehicle involved. Many neighbors spoke with police and said that crossing the road in that area has never been much of a problem. Police are searching for more information about the driver at this time and continue to investigate.
