Easley, SC (December 21, 2018) – Yesterday, December 20, one person lost their life in a serious head-on collision that took place on Farrs Bridge Road around 8:00 a.m.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated and found that the victim had been traveling south at the time when they crossed the center line and struck a truck driven by a 16-year-old. The person who since lost their life has been identified as 35-year-old Carrie Jean Hall. She had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Hall was quickly taken to the hospital but, while there, she was tragically pronounced dead in surgery. Police confirmed that she had internal injuries due to the accident.

The 16-year-old in the other vehicle had been wearing a seatbelt but was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
