Easley, SC (November 1, 2018) – One person was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident that took place on.

Easley, SC (November 1, 2018) – One person was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident that took place on South 5th Street in Easley on Wednesday, October 31.

The accident took place around 8:00 a.m. on the 100 block of South 5th Street. The pedestrian was quickly transported to the Greenville Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead while there.

The driver of the vehicle that struck him was taken to the Baptist Easley Hospital where police said that they are being treated for injuries at this time. The pedestrian has since been identified as 39-year-old William James Murphree. He died due to blunt force trauma.

At this time, the collision is still being investigated and no charges have been filed.
