East Point, GA (December 4, 2018) – Investigators have been working on investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that took the life of one, and have now identified one of the drivers involved.
Investigators say that a fatal pedestrian accident took place on Saturday that involved two hit-and-run drivers who fled the scene after they struck the pedestrian and dragged the man down an East Point street.
Yesterday, police have identified the pedestrian as 70-year-old Herbert Ronald Alexander, who lost his life after being dragged down the street by the second vehicle that struck him. By the time authorities arrived, both drivers fled the scene.
The first vehicle that struck the pedestrian was quickly identified. The name of the driver has not been released, but police say that she turned herself in. Authorities are still looking for the driver of the second vehicle, who had been driving a Buick Regal at the time.
