East Point, GA (December 2, 2018) – Police are searching for the two suspects responsible for a hit-and-run accident in East Point that took the life of one man yesterday, December 1.
Officers found the man at Cleveland Avenue and Springdale Road, who lost his life at the scene of the accident after he had been struck by two vehicles. The man was struck about a block down the road at the intersection of Sylvan Road and dragged about a quarter mile down the street.
A witness saw the body and blocked it with his vehicle that so nobody else would hit the man, who was now lying in the middle of the roadway. He then called 911 and took a closer look at surveillance video in the area that identified the vehicles as a Ford Fusion with a missing left mirror and a green Buick Century.
The victim has not yet been identified. Police are working on their investigation of the accident at this time.
