Eatonton, GA (December 3, 2018) – A 29-year-old man from Milledgeville was struck and seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that took place yesterday on US Highway 441. The man remains hospitalized at this time, according to police.
The victim, identified as Malcolm Kennaugh-Easterby, was struck by a 2014 Cadillac driven by 75-year-old Onaria Youngblood. He had been walking across the street when he was struck. Easterby received critical injuries and had to be flown from the scene by medical helicopter.
The accident reportedly happened around 12:41 p.m. just north of the intersection at Pea Ridge Road. Easterby had been entering the road from the grass median and Youngblood had to swerve to try to avoid the victim, even though a collision still resulted.
The accident remains under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at this time.
