Estill, SC (December 1, 2018) – On Friday morning, November 30, a CSX railroad worker was struck and killed in an accident near the main street in Estill. The worker has since been identified by police as John Youmans.

Youmans died in the accident around 10 a.m., according to the coroner. The accident took place at the tracks near Martin Luther King Boulevard. At the time, police say that he had been performing general maintenance on the railroad tracks.

CSX is currently working with law enforcement at the scene of the accident. Youmans worked for CSX for 10 years and is survived by his wife, Kelly, and their three children.

At this time, the accident is being fully investigated.
