Fayetteville, NC (November 30, 2018) – Eight people were injured after a rollover accident involving a van that took place this morning, November 30. The accident happened at 7:30 a.m., according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Police responded to the area of the intersection of Camden Road and Whitfield Street. A van collided with a Dodge pickup truck, which caused the van to roll over. The injured passengers inside the van were trapped in the wreckage. First responders had to remove the doors on the van in order to get the occupants free and be able to render aid. All seven occupants of the van and the driver of the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 39-year-old Robert Warren, who was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. The names and conditions of those involved have not yet been released.
