Florence County, SC – One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle AccidentFlorence County, SC (October 17, 2018) – Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Monday night, October 15, on U.S. Highway 52 to find that one person lost their life.

The Florence County Coroner pronounced 86-year-old Barry Crocker deceased at the scene.

Police originally received the call about the accident on Monday around 1:20 p.m. near Effingham and McCall Farms. At the time, an SUV had been traveling south when a Chevy Impala pulled out of a private drive directly into the SUV. Police say that the Impala failed to yield the right-of-way.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Crocker was the only one who died in the crash.
