Florence County, SC (December 24, 2018) – In Florence County, one person lost their life in a fatal accident that took place on Interstate 95 yesterday involving an SUV.
One person was ejected from their vehicle at the time of the accident, according to emergency responders. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is working on their investigation of the accident that took place on the interstate between two vehicles.
Troopers say that, at the time, an SUV went off the road and tuned near mile marker 157. A passenger in the back seat of the SUV was ejected, as they had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time. They, unfortunately, lost their life at the scene of the accident.
The driver was taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries. Neither party has since been identified.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
