Florence, SC (November 14, 2018) – Police say that last evening, November 13, a pedestrian accident took the life of.

Florence, SC (November 14, 2018) – Police say that last evening, November 13, a pedestrian accident took the life of a woman in Florence who has since been identified. Police arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. last night in the 800 block of West Evans Street when they were called about a pedestrian-vehicle accident.

The Florence County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as 67-year-old Carolyn Johnson. She was killed when she was walking across the street in the area.

Multiple witnesses were at the scene to speak with police about how the accident took place, though not all of the details have been made public at this time. Officers set up cones and the road was blocked for quite some time in the area.

Police have not filed charges against the driver who struck the pedestrian, but the accident is still under investigation at this time.
