Florence, SC – Police Respond to Bicycle Hit-and-Run This Morning

Florence, SC (December 30, 2018) – In Florence, a bicycle hit-and-run accident took place this morning, December 30, that took the life of the cyclist on South Cashua Drive.

The accident happened around 1:45 a.m. this morning as 19-year-old Jordan Isaiah Stackhouse was struck by a vehicle when he was riding his bike. Stackhouse was immediately transported to the hospital with severe injuries where he was tragically pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene but police say that he was arrested today. He was identified as Phillip Tyler Frye, who was charged with felony DUI, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, and more.

The Florence Police Department continues to investigate the car accident at this time.
