Fort Valley, GA (December 11, 2018) – Tonight, police were called to the scene of a fatal accident involving a tractor and a dump truck that took the life of one person.
Police say that, around 6 p.m. this evening, 60-year-old Jamie Lee Willis had been traveling on a tractor on Chestnut Hill Road. Suddenly, a dump truck came up behind him and didn’t see him, striking his tractor from behind.
Willis was thrown from the tractor, which received a variety of damages. The coroner was called to the scene around 6:40 p.m. and sadly pronounced Willis dead.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
