Gainesville, GA (December 18, 2018) – On Sunday, December 16, a man was killed in a semi-truck rollover when he was outside and a truck rolled over on top of him.

At the time, police say that 47-year-old Jose Parras was outside the vehicle at the time and fixing brakes on Berry Hill Drive when the vehicle rolled forward and slammed into him. A witness spoke to police and said that Parras was asking him for a tool to work on the brakes when the accident occurred.

The witness was unable to stop the vehicle and called police immediately. By the time emergency responders arrived, Parras was already tragically pronounced dead.

The Georgia Department of Public Safety and other agencies are currently investigating the cirucmstnaces leading up to the accident.
