Gaston County, NC (November 22, 2018) – Today on Thanksgiving, a pedestrian accident led to one fatality at an intersection. The accident took place early this morning, according to police, in the area of Linwood Road and Phenix Street.

Many emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident to find that the pedestrian lost their life at the scene. Police spoke with the driver who struck the pedestrian and stayed at the scene, though it is not clear if they will be facing any charges or not.

Police do not yet know the name of the victim but they continue to investigate the accident and how it might have happened.
