57-year-old Clifford Scoggin was accused of driving a Dodge Ram truck that rear-ended a Sentra that had been stopped at a red light at the time. The impact was so forceful that the sedan was pushed into the back of the Honda SUV parked in front of it.

Both 11-year-old Jaryan Wright and 7-year-old Nylah Huff were critically injured in the accident. The children were taken to one hospital and then transferred to another. At this time, their conditions are not currently known.

Scoggin has been charged with DWI, driving with a revoked license, failure to reduce speed, and more.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
