George Hildebran, NC (November 2, 2018) – Police continue to investigate a two-vehicle accident that happened on NC 18 in George Hildebran on Wednesday morning, October 31.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said that a Dodge pickup truck was traveling north near Laurel Haven Avenue around 7:30 a.m. when, for reasons that are not known, the driver crossed the center lane. From there, they struck a Chevy pickup truck.
The driver of the Chevy died at the scene of the accident, according to police. Speed is thought to be a factor in the case, making the driver lose control.
At this time, the investigation into the matter continues.
