Georgetown County, SC (December 3, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that took place on Sunday, December 3, around the Horry County line with Georgetown.
At the time, the driver who lost his life had been involved in an accident and ran off the side of the road before his vehicle struck a tree. He was identified as 33-year-old Jack Baldwin II.
At the time, Baldwin had been headed southbound on Highway 17 around 5:15 yesterday morning. His vehicle struck a pine tree. He had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident but was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Luckily, no other parties were injured in this accident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances at this time.
