Georgetown County, SC (December 2, 2018) – In Georgetown County, authorities were called to the scene of a fatal accident.

Georgetown County, SC (December 2, 2018) – In Georgetown County, authorities were called to the scene of a fatal accident on US-17 around the area of the Horry County line.

The accident took place around 5:15 a.m. this morning, December 1. The vehicle involved in the accident collided with another for reasons that are not yet known. The driver had been traveling south at the time.

Police say that, after the accident, a 2005 Chrysler ran off the road and struck a tree. The driver involved in the accident was killed at the scene of the accident. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
