Georgetown County, SC (December 8, 2018) – In Georgetown County, three adults had to be rescued from a capsized boat involved in a serious boat accident in the Waccamaw River.
The accident took place this afternoon and a call quickly came in regarding a sinking boat in the Waccamaw River near Hagley Landing. Police and rescuers quickly arrived at the scene of the accident to find that the three people involved received a variety of injuries. One of these individuals was transported to the hospital with a variety of injuries but is expected to be okay.
A variety of emergency responders offered their help at the time of the accident including the Midway Fire Rescue, Department of Natural Resources, and more.
At this time, the accident is still under investigation.
