Goldsboro, NC (October 23, 2018) – Officials say that an airman at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base struck a man in a deadly moped accident and then fled the scene on Saturday, October 19 around 2:55 a.m.

The accident took place at the intersection of Slocumb Street and Olivia Lane. The man who had been driving the moped was identified as Terrence Lowell Walker, who was found lying on the ground at the intersection. He was taken to the hospital and later died due to his injuries.

The vehicle that struck him was identified as a 2007 Toyota Highlander. The Highlander was registered to a 40-year-old named Lukumon Rasaki. He was found at his home and arrested.

Walker had entered into the intersection when he was struck. He was knocked from the moped and fell to the ground. Now, the man who struck him is facing charges for hit-and-run.
