Greensboro, NC (November 11, 2018) – In Greensboro, one police officer has died and another had been seriously injured in.

Greensboro, NC (November 11, 2018) – In Greensboro, one police officer has died and another had been seriously injured in a fatal collision in Greensboro following a robbery investigation. The accident took place yesterday, November 10.

At the time, both officers were attempting to locate the vehicle that was being driven by a possible robbery suspect when the two vehicles crashed into one another. No civilian vehicles were involved.

Two officers were taken to the hospital where one was pronounced dead due to severe trauma while there. The other officer is expected to recover from his injuries.

The officer who lost his life in the accident has been identified as 24-year-old Jared William Franks. At this time, police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
