Greenville, SC (October 17, 2018) – Troopers responded to a hit-and-run accident where they said that a 41-year-old man was so badly injured that he was airlifted to the hospital. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 15. Police say the accident took place on Woodruff Road.

Police say that a cyclist and a vehicle were both headed east when the cyclist was suddenly rear-ended near the Anderson Ridge Road. The cyclist received serious injuries as a result of the accident. He was quickly airlifted to the Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Troopers are now searching for a burgundy 4-door sedan. The crash is being investigated at this time by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
