Greenville County, SC (November 20, 2018) – Police say that two Taylors residents lost their lives in a fatal accident this morning, November 20, and their identities have since been released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol identified the two drivers as 21-year-old Austin Taylor Bruice and 56-year-old Dawn Taylor Epps. The accident happened on Sandy Flat Road near Jackson Grove Road.
The two-car accident took place when Bruice crossed the center line in his Toyota and struck an oncoming Hyundai, occupied by Epps. Bruice was trying to negotiate a sharp right-hand curve when his vehicle went into the other side of traffic. Epps had been coming toward him from the other direction. The two vehicles collided head-on.
Even though both residents were wearing seatbelts, they both died at the scene of the accident.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our condolences to the friends and family of the two residents who lost their lives tragically in this accident. Fatal accidents can be life-changing for everybody involved and you are not alone.
