Greenville, SC (December 22, 2018) – A Greenville police officer was hospitalized following an accident involving his patrol vehicle and another driver who drove through a stop sign.

The crash took place around 10:10 p.m. at Asbury Avenue and North Hudson Street after three people in a vehicle went through a stop sign without stopping. They struck the police vehicle and then fled the scene.

Officer Brandon Roberts was taken to the hospital after the accident and being extracted from his police cruiser. Luckily, he has since been released from the hospital and is expected to recover.

Three people were arrested due to fleeing the scene of the accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident at this time.
