Greenville, SC (December 20, 2018) – This evening, a Greenville Police officer was hospitalized following a car crash that happened.

Greenville, SC (December 20, 2018) – This evening, a Greenville Police officer was hospitalized following a car crash that happened after a civilian ran a stop sign.

The accident, according to police, took place near Asbury Avenue around 10:10 p.m. A civilian didn’t stop at a stop sign, causing them to strike the officer’s patrol vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and the officer was taken to the hospital by EMS. Luckily, he is expected to recover. The condition of the other person is not known at this time.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Greenville Police continue their investigation into the matter.
