Greenville, SC (December 8, 2018) – On Saturday morning, December 8, troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a serious and fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Anderson Road.

According to troopers, the accident took place around 6:06 a.m. when a driver was traveling on the roadway and struck and killed a woman who troopers say was in the middle of the road. Police are not sure why she was there and her identity has not yet been released.

The driver was not injured in the accident but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Police said that the victim had been creating a disturbance in the roadway before she was struck and killed.

Police continue their investigation of the accident.
