Greenville, SC (October 26, 2018) – Earlier this week, two victims lost their lives in a horrific fatal collision on Thursday morning, October 25. The victims have since been identified by police.
Police responded to the area of Augusta Road near Bismark Drive around 7 a.m. yesterday morning to find that two were killed after a tractor-trailer and a sedan collided. The 1999 sedan crossed the center line and was struck head-on by the tractor-trailer.
The accident happened when the sedan’s wheel flew off, causing it to lose control on the roadway. Both the driver and passenger inside were killed immediately. One was ejected from the vehicle and the other was trapped inside. The driver was identified as 33-year-old Jason Moss and 27-year-old Quentira Simpson was the passenger.
The 44-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was also taken to the hospital with injuries.
At this time, police continue to investigate the accident.
