Greenwood, SC (December 9, 2018) – Police in Greenwood County were called to the scene of a fatal accident that.

Greenwood, SC (December 9, 2018) – Police in Greenwood County were called to the scene of a fatal accident that happened early this morning and took the life of one man.

The coroner came to the scene and identified the man who lost his life as 37-year-old Xavier Cherkun Zelig Harris of Hodges. According to police, he died at the scene of the accident.

The accident happened on Cokesbury Road near Asbury Road around 4 a.m. The coroner said that a vehicle ran off the road and struck multiple trees after being involved in an accident with another vehicle. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

The circumstances of the accident continue to be investigated at this time.
